Star Club would like you wish you all a very merry mid-winter, whatever your plans - and we’ve got plenty to celebrate at our two rituals!

The Triumph of Sol Invictus

This Saturday (9th December) we will hold our final Mithraic Invocation of Sol Invictus, closing the 4-part passion play we began in Spring at the Equinox and renewing the Cycle of the Solar Mysteries for another year. This ritual will take place within the Star Club Framework, giving a demonstration of our magical system, and you are invited to take communion with us.

Following the ritual we will hold our Saturnalia party, so we invite you to bring drinks, snacks, or food for a buffet. While there will not be a formal lecture, our Initiates will be on hand to discuss the work of Star Club and how the system has developed over the last few years. You can book your ticket here!

Overnight Orphism

As part of our expanding mission to improve facilities and create a permanent magical space near Bristol, our overnight Bacchanal using the Orphic Hymns Grimoire is due to be a magical experience! Come join us as we enjoy fire, food, wine (and juice), great company, and make our way through the Orphic Hymns from start to finish to ensure the Sun returns to us for another year.

The venue is Oxwick, a farmstead north of Yate, which has tremendous capacity to become a truly wondrous centre for magical endeavours in the South West of Britain. We are in talks to collaborate with other magical groups and have big plans brewing, watch this space! A Most Mystical Marriage

October and November saw several adventures for Star Club, including a visit to Northampton where Soror O.F. and I became engaged! We held a hand-fasting at our venue near Yate at the end of the month, a ritual we wrote together inspired by Liber XV: The Gnostic Mass, and shared a Eucharist with local members of Druidic, Chaote, Wiccan, and Thelemic groups, and of course plenty of Star Club members! Officers for the ritual were Halo, Br N.V., Sr L., and ourselves.

This was a very special one-off ritual, but if you are considering having a handfasting or other life-celebration, please email us as we have acted as officiants at weddings, funerals, hand-fastings, and naming rituals, and can craft a rite for any occasion. Speaking of Engagements…

We are very pleased to announce further speaking engagements for the Star Club Course Leaders in 2024, so you can see us at the following events:

• 10th February, the Phoenix Club, Isle of Wight: Sef Salem presents the return of ‘The Path of the Rose’ - a transcendental series of pathworkings using the Greater Seals of the Archangels in the Grimoire of Armadel. Sef will be leading the first three of these visionary meditations following the morning session by Dr. Robert A. Plimer discussing these techniques of astral portals.

• 17-18th February, The Occult Conference, Glastonbury: Dr. Halo Quin will be sharing a talk on “Kinky Magic” – clearing some misconceptions and outlining some of the overlaps in the realms of BDSM and ritual– and a workshop on “Ritual with Rope - Self-bondage for magic”, offered in a gentle, queer friendly, safety-conscious style.

• Meanwhile Star Club Initiates will be hosting an information stall in the market! Join us for an informal chat or a serious magical debate, and enjoy the atmosphere at this great two-day event.

• March 23rd, Magick, Art, & Medicine Conference, Isle of Wight: Sef will present ‘The Mystical Mind: Introducing the Neuro-Gnostic Model’, a lecture expounding on this Model which creates an operational paradigm for interacting with the Universe, drawing on Morphic Field Theory and Animism along with neurological conceptions of the way our minds interact with reality.

Following on from these, we will also be offering more in our online Membership area - the Individual Course will expand as the current Cycle progresses, and we have nearly finished our Liturgical Cycles which will be updated and uploaded for you to use in a group ritual setting, wherever you are.

Very soon I will offer the Path of the Rose in full with audio recordings and seals you can print to create your own Temple space for these pathworkings. These will go live in February after some other projects have been revealed.

Meanwhile, for some witchiness from our resident Doctor Halo, including self-study courses and online Tarot readings, now open to book for January (gift vouchers also available!) A Yuletide Gift

Finally, I stumbled across this incredibly exciting musical project on social media, and would like to share it with you. The entire album is on Spotify and I think the work being done be Nemuer here is having a huge positive change, bringing occultism and magical thinking into the world on a wider basis, along with Heilung, Zeal & Ardor, and Aurora.
