Heathens, conceivably, but not unenlightened ones
Beltane is upon us, the year turns and brings with it the passion and anticipation of the Summer. We have had a most productive month, with Star Club members reciprocating Avalon Thelema's attendance at our Invocation of Horus by turning out to hail the Three Days for the Writing of the Book of the Law in Glastonbury - including the recitation of the Third Chapter at the Market Cross. This was a spectacular adventure, using a loudspeaker to drown out the Jehovah’s Witnesses as they prayed for our souls, appreciated as that was.
For our Open Ritual this month Dr Halo Quin visited and brought a superb Inanna ritual to celebrate the intense feelings of this time of year. We brought offerings of rose petals, honey, incense, pomegranate, and fruit juice. We combined these during our ritual and chanting the love song to the Beloved from thousands of years ago we felt the energy raised and directed to our goals as part of the Star Club Framework. Our ritual completed, we took time to bask in the glow of the Queen of Heaven, and then rearranged the room to screen the Final Cut of The Wicker Man, which includes recovered footage never shown in the original cinema run. We discussed the additional sex magick scenes and offering to Aphrodite, I highly recommend picking up a copy if you're a fan of folk horror and pagan movies!*
